Dr. Colin Connors, an artist, former designer and Isthmus Eye Care optometrist, understands the importance of good eye health in achieving life goals.

A Middleton native and graduate of Middleton High School, Dr. Connors began his professional life as a Web Designer educated at MATC, then moved to Minneapolis, MN in 2002 to follow a calling in the optical profession.

Dr. Connors began his pre-optometry study at De Paul University in Chicago in 2003, and began his professional study at the Illinois College of Optometry. In 2008, Dr. Connors completed four distinct three-month internships with his first at the OMNI Referral Center in Atlanta, GA, an eye health care referral center providing secondary, tertiary and surgical eye health care on a referral basis. He then served an internship at the Wilmington Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center, gaining experience in eye care for patients with diabetes, hypertension and other systemic maladies. Dr. Connors also served an internship at Ochsner Medical Services, New Orleans, LA, providing primary eye care through through the optometry program. His final internship was at the Illinois Eye Institute in Chicago, where he provided pediatric and low-vision care.

Dr. Connors graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in May 2009 and is very pleased to move back to beautiful Wisconsin­—and to the Madison area in particular.

When not caring for patients, Dr. Connors enjoys cycling and running, as well as playing volleyball and basketball. He is also an avid art enthusiast and enjoys painting in his free time. He has a love of the outdoors and enjoys fly fishing, hiking, camping and hunting.
