Optometry Giving Sight

Isthmus Eye Care is proud to support Optometry Giving Sight as our charity of choice, the only global fundraising initiative dedicated to preventing blindness and impaired vision caused by uncorrected refractive error.

More than 1 billion men, women, and children around the world are blind or visually impaired simply because they lack access to an eye exam and proper glasses. Optometry Giving Sight funds programs that provide eye exams, distribute glasses and build sustainable infrastructure by training local professionals to deliver long-term, quality vision care in underserved areas.

At Isthmus Eye Care, we are deeply committed to this important cause. We match all patient donations and contribute a portion of the proceeds from every pair of eyeglasses sold. Together, our doctors, staff, and patients have proudly donated over $200,000 to date, making a significant impact on global vision health.

Through this ongoing partnership, Isthmus Eye Care continues to help bring clear vision to communities in need, empowering lives one eye exam at a time.

Local Organizations & Affiliations

We all win when you think local first. Isthmus Eye Care is happy to support the following organizations and their efforts to keep business local in Dane County.

Isthmus Eye Care is an active member of the Downtown Middleton Business Association. The organization hosts many events throughout the year in support of the local downtown Middleton businesses.

Have used eyeglasses? Bring them to Isthmus Eye Care for donation to the Lions Club to help give the gift of sight.

Isthmus Eye Care also provides eye exams to those in need in coordination with our local Lions Clubs.

Isthmus Eye Care has been excited to partner with the Goodman Community Center to sponsor food drives, adult eye care education, and youth vision screenings.

Isthmus Eye Care is a proud sponsor of the Middleton Good Neighbor Festival Parade every August in support of our local community.

McPherson Eye Institute Cycle for Sight
Each year Isthmus Eye Care is a proud participant in Cycle for Sight in support of the Mcpherson Eye Institute at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Teams from all over Wisconsin exercise as they choose – cycling, running, walking, and more – together or separately – while raising funds for vision research.
